Weclome to the Silesian Nanomicroscopy Center
Welcome to the website of the Silesian Nanomicroscopy Center in Zabrze. This Center was organized as a part of the Silesia LabMed: Research and Implementation Center Project of the Medical University of Silesia. The principal vision of the Center is to make use of all the nanomicroscopy techniques in applied research on human pathology based on the indirect correlation approach. For this reason, our Center possesses a unique character in comparison with other nanomicroscopy centers around the world.
The Center is dedicated mainly to the study of medical pathology focusing on searching for new pathology disease markers applied to personalized medicine. The Center is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments which created a complete solution approach to nanomicroscopy research.
The research activities of the Center are mainly focused on chronic inflammation and coagulation in the different tissues and organs. Our special line of research is cardiovascular biology and pathology.
The center is managed by a dedicated technical team and is fully open to external experts.
The Silesian Nanomicroscopy Center serves several missions, such as:
- the teaching the modern nanomicroscopy techniques to the students and researchers;
- clinical support. We offer a wide range of services in cell pathology using routine paraffin histochemistry, cryostat immunohistochemistry, or diagnostic electron microscopy;
- applied research. We will be acting in this field to be the leading edge in the use of nanomicroscopy techniques for searching for new disease markers for the purpose of personalized medicine.
